Ivette Monnéy – Executive Director
Ivette Monney came to HCSNV with over 10 years of experience in the areas of real estate and housing. As Executive Director, she oversees the daily operations of the organization, and is in charge of formulating strategic plans for the sustainable growth of HCSNV.
Ivette has always been passionate about serving others. She has volunteered as a Spanish literacy teacher, and more recently as a housing counselor. She is a firm believer that education is not only the key to economic success, but also to a more just society.
In the past, Ivette was part of the Office of the President’s team in charge of resolving escalated complaints in the loss mitigation department of Bank of America. In that capacity she was able to assist hundreds of distressed homeowners.
More challenging was her position as the housing coordinator at a local homeless shelter. Serving individuals and families in the shelter gave Ivette a different perspective in life, and made her become more committed to promoting access to affordable housing, and empowering the less fortunate through resource referrals and education.
Ivette graduated from the University of Maryland University College (UMUC) with a BS degree in Computer Information Science and a Master in Business Administration.
